Hospital Policies

Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why an occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

For your convenience, daytime admit appointments are available. A daytime admit means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him or her with us for a few hours or the day. Usually we will ask you to admit your pet in the morning so our doctor can examine them in between already scheduled appointments or at the times we have purposely reserved for same day admitted patients. After your pet's examination, the doctor will call you to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions. Daytime admissions are for current patients only.

Patient Arrival Policy

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to place your pet on a leash or in a pet carrier before entering the clinic. For particularly anxious pets, we will provide calming medications to be given before the visit to avoid "white coat syndrome".

Also, please NO retractable leashes. I have seen owner's lose control and crack their pet's teeth!

We will provide you with a temporary leash.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, CareCredit, cash, and personal checks.
